The Turus of St Crona
The Turus of St Crona took place on Sunday 9th July 2023, with Fr Johnny leading the prayer walk of faith. After a massive downpour of rain halfway through the Turus, the pilgrim group, βfortis in fideβ (strong in faith), continued in prayer to the site of the church and the original site and burial place of St Crona. The sun came out to dry out the group as it prayed walking around the church. Godβs grace shining on the pilgrims and the start of many more years of pilgrimage to this historic site in Maghery.
Many thanks to the McCole family who allowed us across through their land and to their son Brendan (pictured front row next to Fr Johnny) who strimmed the whole area so we could walk around the site safely. π
